Do you remember as a young child being told by your parents to be on your best behavior? That was something we were told a lot by my mother. She was from the generation that believed children should be seen and not heard. But it was hard to sit still and be quiet for hours at a time around all the grownups. All we wanted to do was go outside and run around and play with our friends. Although I admit I liked getting dressed up in pretty dresses and getting my hair fixed with braids or bows or barrettes.

My older brothers and most of their friends were (and still are) muscle car freaks. There was always at least one car in the back drive way that was being worked on and/or restored and I learned a lot about cars by being surrounded by them growing up, if the car wasn’t from the 60′s or 70′s or earlier they just didn’t hold our interest even though there has been a few cool cars manufactured since then, not many but a few.
We have an annual fair and parade in our town each May and there is always a good amount of muscle cars, antique vehicles, fire engines, hot rods, motorcycles and the like cruising the town in anticipation of participating in the parade. This is a huge parade and people come from all over to watch and to participate in it each year. I enjoy watching the high school bands, the dancers, beauty pageant queens, the civic groups, celebrities and the local politicians that are in the parade, along with various other entries that entertain the large crowds. But my favorite is when the muscle cars start coming down the street and the Harley Davidson’s of course. They just get me going, big time!
It’s cool to see that some of the older model cars are starting to go back to some of the classic looks. The new Mustang the new Corvette and the new Camaro are starting to make more appearances around town now and then. Heads are turning to see how they look from behind and to how they sound. A guy that used to hang around my brothers just bought a new 2010 Camaro and is looking for Chevy Camaro accessories to start souping her up for his fall and winter project. By next May he may be ready to cruise along the parade route along with the newer good-looking cars.

My mother has been after me to look around for the best insurance coverage for myself. I have been meaning to start this process for over a year and just keep pushing it aside for other matters that keep coming up. So today I found the site for a company Paradiso Insurance that I took a look around at. I found it to be a very user-friendly site, they even have a Virtual Agent that you can click on to provide you with all kinds of information. I love that you can get a free quote right online, so much better than having to call around to different agents that have been located in the Yellow Pages.
I know that having a life insurance is very important. We have all heard horror stories about people who didn’t have any coverage and in their passing have left their loved ones in a terrible mess and I wouldn’t want that to happen to my loved ones. I’m going to get off my butt and get this task taken care of and will also get my will planned out and taken care of. Might as well get it all over and done with and get my mother off of my back and there will be one less thing on my list of things to get done.

Since I gave my brother a nice box of Gurkha Ancient Warrior cigars for Christmas, it seems to me that he should own a decent humidor to keep all of his nice cigars in. His birthday is coming up next month, the end of April and I’ve been scrambling trying to find a good gift for him so that I’m not caught empty-handed on his 40th birthday. So now I’m going to start looking, comparing and price some decent humidors. The same website where I buy gurkha cigars online has some good bargains on their humidors. They accept PayPal and have free Economy shipping, which works well for me right now.
My brother has been smoking cigars for as long as I can remember. He is quite a bit older than I am, being he is the oldest of 5 and me being the baby. I hear that our grandfather smoked a cigar and that it always impressed (for the lack of a better word) with the look and the smell and he has been smoking various types of cigars before he was old enough to drive and now he is turning 40 LOL. These are the times that I am glad I am the baby…

Today was a lesson about all the different types of lifts that are on today’s market, with a good amount of these lifts on the Internet for today’s online shoppers to look at. First let me explain that my brother-in-law is expecting his tax refund in the next couple of weeks. I have been helping them (my kid sis and her hubby) will the slow painful process of building a shop in their backyard that he can use to fix vehicles to help bring in some extra money. It has been an interesting experience from day one, I have learned so much this past year and it feels real good to drive up to their place and see that all that time and hard work actually paid off. It’s a good thing that we all get along so well together. There have been plenty of disagreements between us, but we have managed to work them all out and still give each other a hug at the end of the day.

High Lift Service / Parking Lift with Muscle Cars
Throughout all this time he has been telling me that he can’t wait to get an auto lift so that he can do so much more with that type of advantage. Of course he has promised to do a good amount of work on my car for all of my time and effort in getting him up and almost running. Yesterday I was over there and he was showing me all of the types of lifts and he keep referring to the one that he wanted as a parking lift, so I got a bit confused hence today’s lesson was that there is a difference between an auto lift and a parking lift. Now I understand that this much talked about parking lift is a car storage lift and well as a service lift which makes sense to me if you can kill two birds with one stone. That’s not so complicated to understand.
