My Money Pit

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

Well it seems that I am in need of a good brake job on my Chevrolet Silverado. The fun never seems to end with this vehicle. If it isn’t one thing it is another and another and another. Talk about a “money pit” this piece of American made metal and steel is keeping me in debt, big time.

I have several credit cards to various auto repair shops in the area, but they are all maxed out right now. So I went online to see if I could find a different Dallas auto repair shop and found a great website that allowed me to enter all of the pertinent information about my location, my needs, etc. etc. etc. It led me to a shop that I didn’t even know existed, which threw me for a loop. Just when you think you know it all the Internet comes along and shows you the way. Now how awesome is that?

Taxes

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Gonna get my taxes down this weekend. April 15th is creeping up and I want to get it done and over with. Hopefully is won’t cost me an arm and leg to have them filed and I’m thinking that I’ll be getting a good chunk of change back from good old Uncle Sam.

Rough Waters Soothed by Friendship and Song

Monday, March 8th, 2010

My best friend is a Josh Groban fan. She knows that I’ve had a rough couple of weeks lately and sent me this video of Josh Groban singing “To Where You Are” that she found on You Tube. It was an inspiring song and I’m glad that she sent it and I wanted to share it here.
