Dominoes Rules

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

I’ve become picky when it comes to my pizza these days. If it isn’t Dominoes, thin crust with extra pepperoni then I’m just not happy. I can’t stand a soggy thick crust that is all mushie in my mouth, just the texture of it makes my stomach queasy. Pizza Hut and Papa Johns just don’t cut it in my book.

Domino’s Pizza

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

I’m glad that the few top pizza companies in our area are currently having a pizza war. Calling the pizza man to deliver a pizza used to be a fast and affordable meal, but those days have long gone by the way side. Besides the cost of the pizza, there is a delivery charge, along with tax and of course you must tip the driver as well and I’d consider myself a good tipper. That all adds up, but if that what it takes to get a pizza delivered you do what you gotta do.

I have been a fan of Domino’s thin crust pizza most of my life. The more cheese and pepperoni that is piled on it the better.  Since the prices are being cut, due to the competition I can afford to order it more often!

Squash

Monday, July 26th, 2010

I was just turned onto a couple of yellow and green squash at work. I plan on cooking them in butter along with some onions, with a good amount of salt and pepper for this weekends dinner menu. I love this time of the year when people have way too much produce from their back yard gardens and end up having to give the over flow to friends, family and co workers.

Let The Count Down Begin

Monday, July 26th, 2010

In no time it will be football season. Of all of the sports that we have available to us these days, football still has my vote. I have no patience for watching a baseball game or a golf game, especially on TV for goodness sake. Nothing could be a boring as that in my book. I’ve been to a couple of live professional baseball games, if it wasn’t for the beer and the music I wouldn’t have lasted the whole game!

Anyway, this year I have subscribed to the sunday ticket with my current satellite provider. I look forward to having several parties celebrating the football season this year. I’ll start stocking up on beer that I find on sale in the next couple of months and hit the ABC store regurarly for their sales that never seem to come often enought and I should be good to go by the time the first kick-off takes place.

If there are any games that I don’t get I’m sure that I can go over to my BFF’s place and watch her Time Warner sports channels and another good friend subscribes to the well known Cox sports package that is under contract with. So I pretty much have it covered and am just counting down the months, which will be turning into weeks in no time until the fun starts taking place, live and on TV.

Kool-Aid

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

“Kool-Aid, Kool-Aid tastes great, wish we had some, can’t wait!” Do you remember that song from the Kool-Aid commercials. I love Kool-Aid, always have and always will. I get harassed sometimes by people when they find out that I am a Kool-Aid fanatic. Most folks love their soda or iced tea, not me – I have to have my Kool-Aid, and it has to be red. I don’t like any of the flavors that they have come out with recently, I have given them a try, but the cherry and the black cherry are my favorites and the fruit punch isn’t bad either if they do not have any cherry flavors for what ever reason.

I even looked to see if there was a Kool-Aid web-site and was delighted to find that there is one, it is called KoolSpace and it helped me find what stores locally that I could find my favorite flavors at, I was hoping for some coupons or something, which I didn’t find, but that is O.K, it is so cheap that I don’t mind paying full price for it.
